Over the years Michael Barnes has taken thousands of photographs on subjects as varied as Motor Racing, Aviation, Celebrity, Fashion, and General News Stories.

From the 60's onward whilst working around the world for various publications, Michael Barnes specialized in Motor Racing and Aircraft. Mike has many of these classic photos available to collectors and like minded people. There are too many photographs to show individually but if you look in MIKE'S PHOTOS you can see some of the subjects he has covered.

Sadly, Mike died in the Autumn of 2005 after battling with cancer. His family wanted to keep this website alive by way of a memorial to Mike and his work. With help from Bridget, his widow, Samm his daughter and other members of the family, this site will be kept 'live'. Mike's MESSAGE BOARD can now become a collection of anything from anyone interested in his work and photographs and a place where vintage enthusiasts can ask for copies of his photos.

 

Seven years on Bridget’s favourite  uncle, Donald Peters, died at the age of 90 and as Donald and Mike spent much of their professional lives working and photographing vintage car racing,  both families have decided that Donald’s photographs should be added to this site to make a unique photographic collection for vintage motor racing enthusiasts worldwide.

 

We feel that both Mike and Donald would be happy to share together  their passion and expertise as a fitting memory of their life and work.
